With so much parity between FPL teams at the moment and a number of template teams circulating there is less room than ever for big gains on a week to week basis – that is unless you are prepared to take some serious risks in your team selection.
The single biggest differentiator remains the choice of captain and last week proved it once again with Harry Kane blanking when hoards of FPL managers decided to back him for the arm band. One manager in my own personal mini-league even tripled captained him – gutting!
We have three very good tips for you for our game week 12 captain picks and as always the number one choice is reserved for our members. You can sign up here if you are not yet a member.
The good news for Aguero owners is that he has declared himself fit on Twitter saying that he is ready for the game at Leicester – so this could be a game to go old school and captain Aguero, but with so many choices you will have to read on to see whether or not he has made our top three.
GW12 Captain Pick No.3: Harry Kane vs. Arsenal (a)
The one downside to captaining Harry Kane is that he is always going to be backed by the majority of his owners, this week however is likely to be different given that he blanked last time out and has a tough game (at least on paper) against his North London rivals Arsenal.
This game does represent a serious chance of goals for Kane and given the fact that he was completely rested over the international break he should be a lot fresher than some of the other players on show at the Emirates.
This game could go either way, it could be a goal fest or a boring low scoring affair but we think that there is too much at stake for both sides to hope for a slim win. Any kind of early goal in this game could completely open the game up and Kane is the most likely to profit. Eriksen seems to have hit the form of his life and his confidence will be sky high after a hat-trick against Ireland in midweek and he should be on hand to pull the strings and provide for the Englishman.
No less than three braces in his last 4 away games bodes well for another top away attacking performance from Harry Kane and the away blank came at Old Trafford who played a lot more defensively than Arsenal are probably capable of.
Kane is a serious proposition for captain this week!
GW12 Captain Pick No.2: Leroy Sane vs. Leicester (a)
Its another away pick for our number two GW12 captain and we had to go with a Man City player. We have opted for Leroy Sane as he seems to have completely cemented his position in the City starting 11 now having started the last 6 games on the bounce. In that time he has scored and assisted in 4 of those games – that is scored AND assisted – not one or the other. That means he has hit double figures 4 times in the last 6 and an away game at Leicester could be fruitful for owners of players on both sides in this game.

Sterling has been nursing a knock, but even if he does play the likelihood is that Sane will be on the opposite flank and has the ability to rip this Leicester defence to shreds. There has been an improvement from the Foxes since Claude Puel’s appointment but this is a very stern test and one that is likely to become a goal fest (at both ends of the pitch).
If you don’t have Sane then Aguero or Jesus could be deadly in this game too but it remains to be seen whether Pep is prepared to play both as he has steered away from that in recent weeks.
