Game Week 12 was a goal laden week with the top six clubs scoring 15 goals between them and the only surprise being that Spurs (no goals) and Man City (2 goals) were the lowest scorers out of those six sides.

4 goals from Bournemouth added to the excitement and anyone owning Callum Wilson will be gloating all week long after his hat-trick heroics over Huddersfield who look like they either scape a win or lose heavily – it will certainly be interesting to see how they cope with the demands of a busier fixture list over the coming weeks.

Sergio Aguero owners were left frustrated after he was left to sit on the bench for the entire game at Leicester and if he plays in the Champions League this week he will be another big question mark for their trip to Huddersfield next Sunday. As the dust settles on GW12 and with just one game remaining (Brighton Vs. Stoke) it is time to turn our attentions to game week 13 with our first look at our FPL GW13 tips.

Fantasy Premier League GW13 Picks

Some big games coming up in GW13 and it could be a lucky one for many with most of the big clubs and high ownership clubs having relatively easy fixtures – perhaps with the exception of Liverpool and Chelsea who face each other at Anfield.

We take a look at the fixtures in which we think we will see the biggest points returns for game week 13.

Man Utd Vs. Brighton

Newly promoted Brighton have made a positive start to life in the Premier League and sit pretty in the top half of the table with almost a third of the season played. Man Utd on the other hand looked imperious against Newcastle United in GW12 and ran out 4-1 winners despite going a goal down early on.

Lukaku will benefit from the returning Paul Pogba who himself announced his return from injury with a goal, assist and two bonus points and this represents a significant chance to continue to mount the pressure on Man City at the top of the league.

For all Brighton have been fairly solid defensively this season, they have not been spectacular in front of goal with just 11 goals in the first 11 games and this could well be a tough day for Brighton who face a United side who are having their best home form since Alex Ferguson was manager with 7 wins in their last 7 Premier League games.

Lukaku is slightly at risk now Ibrahimovic is back from injury but he the Swede is likely to be introduced from the bench as he is eased back from a long term injury.

If you are concerned about Liverpool against Chelsea then Pogba could well be a very good switch and Lukaku is going to be a top option over the coming weeks. Time to get your Brighton defenders on the bench for this one.

Spurs Vs. West Brom

Tottenham were simply outplayed in every aspect of the game at the Emirates on Saturday and Harry Kane did not look fully fit at a time that he is testing the patience of his millions of FPL managers. Even at this very early stage in the game week, Kane is already the third most transferred out striker with just Aguero and Abraham ahead of him.

Although Kane’s home stats have been far from brilliant this season, he faces a West Brom side that has failed to win since August and has shipped 8 goals in their last 3 games.

The big question mark will be over Harry Kane’s fitness and we will learn more Spurs’ trip to Dortmund on Tuesday as to whether Kane is fit or not.

Spurs should walk this game but we won’t be putting all our eggs in this Wembley shaped basket just yet – one to watch.

Liverpool Vs. Chelsea

This is a very tough one to call and it really depends on how both sides approach the game as to how it pans out. This could be a thriller or a goalless stalemate.

What we do know is that both teams need to win, so it is more likely that there will be periods in the game where both sides do go for it. Liverpool are more likely to pose the most threat going forwards and it is Salah of course who is becoming the must own player as he leads the scoring charts in the league so far – unfortunately most people do already own him.

Chelsea have been much improved in their last two games since they stuttered to a slim 1-0 at Bournemouth last month but this will be a stern test for their defence.

We think there will be goals in this game and would find it almost impossible to predict a winner – if pressed we would go with Chelsea but this could go either way.

Eden Hazard looked excellent against West Brom and it is only his price tag that will put people off buying him. If you do sell Kane then you could use the spare to grab some Hazard-ous differential perhaps?

Huddersfield Vs. Man City

City continue to impress after a solid 2-0 away win at Leicester and although they were lucky to escape an early red card (Kompany) they went on to win the game comfortably.

We will be keeping a very close eye on their starting lineup as the head to Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday but you can expect Sane, Silva and KDB to be amongst the top points scorers in this game.

It may well be time to give up on Aguero as he continues to be sidelined in Pep’s rotation plans – he is just too expensive to be sat on your bench 50% of the time. He will get game time over the next month and if he gets it here it could be a 2/3/4 goal return – but his place on the bench means many will have already given up hope. If you do own Aguero we’d suggest waiting to see how involved he is in the Champions League before pulling the trigger on a transfer.

We expect City to steamroller Huddersfield either way so be sure to stock up on those midfielders.

The Best of the Rest – GW13

Life did not get off to a good start for new West Ham manager David Moyes as he saw his side defeated 2-0 by Watford and Leicester will relish a chance to win here. Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez remain the top picks for them.

Watford on the other hand continue to impress and Richarlison has repaid the faith we told you to put in him as he scored for the second time in two games – how he missed out on the BPS we don’t know but he looks a good pick again as the Hornets travel to Magpies – he could provide a nasty sting to Benitez’s boys in this one.

Arsenal looked excellent at home to Spurs but this trip to Burnley (who looked solid themselves against Swansea) is just the sort of game that Arsene Wenger’s men come unstuck in. If they play like they did against Spurs then they will win but it could just as easily be a loss. Sanchez is of course a top pick but is too pricey for most, however Ozil remains well priced at £9.3 and has earned 1 goal and 3 assists in his last 4 games – perhaps one to consider?

Bournemouth will be full of confidence as they head to the Liberty Stadium to face a Swansea side that is anything but confident right now. Callum Wilson could be one to back but he is unlikely to replicate his hat-trick this week but he is sure to be in the starting lineup and could be worth a punt – especially if you had the injured Abraham and are looking for a cheap swap.

We will back later this week with more, including an in-depth article on Aguero, our Champions League Reports and out game week 13 captain picks.
