Game Week 18 rolls around quickly this week so there is little time to consider the captain selections. Given the fixtures and (poor form of some big clubs) it is not an easy week to decide who to give the armband to and after the majority of Fantasy Premier League managers opted for Captain Kane last week, it is imperative that we get the decision right this time round.
This week we have three top GW18 FPL choices for you as we look to build on a decent December so far.
As always, the number one pick is reserved for members so be sure to log in at the top right of your screen to reveal the number one pick.
GW18 Captain Pick No.3: Mo Salah
Salah (and the rest of the Liverpool team) may have disappointed in midweek against West Brom but Liverpool have scored a lot more goals away from home than they have at home this season. Added to that the fact that Salah has only failed to score in back to back games once this season, in other words he is due a goal in this game.
You never quite know what you are going to get with Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side but they haven’t won in their last 5 games and whilst they have become draw specialists in that time it looks like being a tough day for the south coast club.

Jurgen Klopp has to pick his strongest side here and although Phil Neville has been publicly backing the German’s squad rotation policy, he now finds himself under pressure for results.
Salah has 7 goals in 7 away starts (plus one substitute appearance) and averages 3.7 shots per game – equal only to Coutinho who has always been the highest for that stat in a Liverpool shirt prior to this season.
Bournemouth have the third worst home form in the league with only West Brom and Swansea below them and although their defensive record at home is better than those around them this will be a very tough day and we will be surprised if they get anything out of the game.
GW18 Captain Pick No.2: Eden Hazard
Hazard was brilliant in midweek despite not being able to pick up any FPL points. The Belgian is looking likely to lead the front line again in a rotation with probably Willian and Pedro again and he likes a goal in this fixture so it’s not difficult to foresee him scoring in this one.
Southampton were dreadful against Leicester and whether you put that down to their old manager identifying and exploiting all their weaknesses, lack of commitment or just not having enough quality, it is fair to say that the Saints are not having their best season.
It is also fair to say that Chelsea’s home form has been nowhere near as strong this season as it was last but that has improved in the last few home games with this being more likely to be a repeat of the 3-1 win against Newcastle than the 1-1 draw with Athletico.
If you don’t have our number one pick then Hazard is a very good choice and he probably won’t be backed as much as usual due to his midweek blank and he only has 15% ownership meaning he still has good captain differential.
