As Game week 10 draws nearer we take a look at our top 3 midfield picks for your teams. Last year, the midfield was where FPL was won and lost and it looks like it could be a similar story this season (so long as you ensure you have Harry Kane in your team that is) with so many good midfield scoring options out there.

Depending on what you are looking for, we assess the best three options depending on your stance.

The Shoestring

If your budget can’t stretch further than the end of your bed then this is the pick for you.

All the talk at the moment is of Richarlison and Doucoure at Watford. But with those two player costing £6.3m and £5.4m respectively they can’t really be classed as true budget buys. Both look top drawer with clear preference for Richarlison right now but if you are looking for a real cheap buy then you don’t have to look to much further for it.

Tom Cleverley has played every game for Watford this season and whilst not being prolific he has chipped in with a goal and an assist in the opening 9 games. He tends to complete games with just one substitution so far this season and he comes in at just £5m.

He has the benefit of playing in this hard working, attack minded Watford side and could be a steal as a fifth mid or even one of your regular starters.

The Budget Buster

There are plenty of players out there this week that could perform well but also destroy your transfer budget but for us there is just one – Alexis Sanchez. He comes in at a cool £11.8m but has so much potential this weekend playing at home against a struggling Swansea side.

The upcoming fixtures after GW10 do not look easy (with Man City and Spurs up next) but he is a big game player and can score/assist against the best. If you have a wildcard up your sleeve then you might just be tempted to flash the cash in this direction for game week 10 at least.

The Wise Pick

After last week it is difficult to come up with a wise choice as almost all decisions in FPL can fall foul of a managers whim, however there are a few things in life that can be pretty much guaranteed.

One player who has played every game for Man City this season (and wasn’t even on the bench in the cup on Tuesday) is David Silva and it looks like Pep Guardiola has him penned in as the first name on every league game team sheet. David Silva is highly likely to play against West Brom and it looks like he will feature more often than not in this sensational team.

He will be looking to add to his 1 goal and 6 assists this season in this game and he is our wise pick for game week 10. At £8.6m your budget will be thanking you.
