Game week 10 is usually the time where everyone feels fairly settled with their teams and we all look forward to a good domestic run of games without the pesky international breaks to get in our way.
This season though feels somewhat different with even more cause for concern over squad rotation following last week’s shenanigans. A midweek that featured more than half the Premier League teams in domestic cup action has many FPL managers not knowing which way to turn as they start to consider their captain selections.
Fear not as we are on hand to give you three top selections off the back of GW9 where all our picks managed to return at least double figures with the armband.
Our number one pick might surprise a few this week and is reserved for our members only.
GW10 Captain Pick No. 3 – Eden Hazard
Chelsea almost suffered at the hands of Watford last weekend but one player who really shone for the Blues was Eden Hazard. We tipped him last week and we are tipping him again this week after he delivered an assist in GW9. It has taken the Belgian some time to get back to full fitness this season after missing the opening weeks of the campaign but he looks better than ever and Bournemouth themselves have been struggling despite winning last weekend.
Bournemouth may have added another victory in midweek when making 8 changes but we think Hazard still represents an excellent differential chance and he should be afforded plenty of room to operate in an away game on the South Coast. Morata would be the other pick here and we expect him to start despite losing out in the goalscoring to Batshuayi last week and he could be up for this after looking completely out of sorts in GW9. Both Morata and Hazard were rested in the Cup in midweek and although both appear to be pretty solid options we will go with the Belgian on this occasion.
GW10 Captain Pick No.2 – Leroy Sane
All the talk this week is of the Man City rotation and although Wolves kept them at bay for 120 minutes on Tuesday it remains to be seen whether their Black Country neighbours West Bromwich Albion can do the same on Saturday. It looks like Sterling could be rested for this game and Sane could well get the nod, if he does then this bold captain pick becomes a real asset.

It isn’t often we go with 2 away games for our captain choices but if City turn on the style at the Hawthorns it could be game over before half time. Sane looks like a man possessed at the moment and the way he took his penalty in the cup on Tuesday says it all – pace, aggression, explosiveness and an eye for goal – we expect a decent return from him this week.
