Fantasy Premier League stops for no man, not even Jesus… so if you are serious about closing out 2017 on a high with your FPL team you will want to be fully prepared for the game week 20 Boxing Day fixtures.

If you haven’t already checked out our GW20 tips, be sure to do so – but today we are compiling our top three captain picks and with our last two no.1 picks being Wayne Rooney and Raheem Sterling and returning big points each week we picked them – we are hoping for a hat-trick of top captain selections this week.

GW20 Captain Pick No.3: Alvaro Morata

It is fairy to say that Morata has not been my favourite player this season but he will be fresh for this game having served a suspension in game week 19 and Brighton have struggled against the top 6 clubs this season. This will probably not be a rout but a couple of Chelsea goals are likely and Morata is sure to benefit from the service of the Chelsea wide players.

They desperately missed a target man against Everton and his aerial prowess and freshness pretty much guarantee his starting berth in this game – along with plenty of hope for a goal or two

GW20 Captain Pick No.2: Mo Salah

Salah came away from the Arsenal game with a goal and an assist and it could and should have been so much more. He continues to lead the pack in terms of goals and points and is a very deserving captain selection for GW20. There is a slight doubt over squad rotation with Klopp never scared to rotate his front men but with Liverpool being under pressure to win after some disappointing home draws we will be looking to the Egyptian for more points in GW20.

This is not a gimme by any stretch of the imagination and Swansea for all their flaws do not generally concede more than a couple of goals in a game – in fact, only the Manchester clubs have scored more than 2 against them all season – but if Liverpool click then they have the potential to blow Swansea away. The home goals are not as free scoring as the away goals for the Reds but we are hopeful of this game being anything other than ordinary.
